Well, here I am, 1,000 words into my novel. It's a fantasy setting, a little bit of magic, a lot of medieval-ness, and lots of fun...I hope. I still don't have a title, but that isn't much of a surprise. I usually don't put a title on anything until it's nearly or completely finished. Still, I can't help but brainstorm. I'd like to have this published eventually, and that won't happen unless it has a memorable title.
People always say "Don't judge a book by it's cover," but really, the first impression that anyone will get about a book is from the title. Calling Chad's Book might be easy, but only people that know me would even consider buying it.
Other random, unrelated thought: For anyone who saw the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. L.A. Lakers game, I hope you saw Ron "Metta World Peace" Artest try knock the beard off of James Harden's face. If it weren't for him and Andrew Bynum, I might actually be able to get behind the Lakers. Sorry, but I don't feel like basketball should be a bloodsport. So, suspend Artest for the entirety of the playoffs and let his team struggle (or succeed) without him. Serves him right.
Thanks for following along, be sure to keep checking in!

Well, here we go. My first blog post. I feel awfully special, writing down thoughts and stuff in this free program. Google sure is cool. Anywho, this is mostly a test to make sure that I like my formatting and such. If you want to keep checking in every once in a while, I'll be posting updates on my novel that I finally started. I've been brainstorming and planning for what seems like forever.
At least a few years.
So, thanks for checking out what I've got here so far, and please come back whenever you've got time. I promise to do my best to keep this updated regularly!
